Women's Club Scholarship Information:

Through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, the White Meadow Lake Women's Club is able to offer two scholarships - the White Meadow Lake Women's Club Scholarship and the Joy Weinreich Memorial Scholarship. Both scholarships are available exclusively to WML high school Seniors who plan to continue their education after high school. To be considered, applicants must have any required community volunteer hours complete and WML 2024 dues paid by the application deadline.

Students are encouraged to apply for both scholarships! We will be accepting applications for our scholarship program through 5pm
on Tuesday, April 16th.

White Meadow Lake Women’s Club Scholarship

The White Meadow Lake (WML) Women’s Club Scholarship is funded by events and programs run by the White Meadow Lake Women’s Club. Our Women’s Club is comprised of dedicated residents who volunteer their time to the community. The scholarship is awarded each year to high school Seniors within the White Meadow Lake community and based on WML volunteering & community service, along with academic performance, extracurricular activities, work experience, and individual goals. Applicants must have a minimum of eight (8) hours of documented volunteer hours within the WML community over the course of their Freshman to Senior year.

Joy Weinreich Memorial Scholarship

Joy was born and raised in Brooklyn. In 1973, she found her forever home in the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Township. Joy was very active in her WML community; she was Past President of the White Meadow Lake Property Owners Association, Co-Chair of the WML Festival Day Committee, member of Friends of the Library, Trustee of the Rockaway Township Public Library, and a Board of Adjustment member for Rockaway Township. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, delivering food to those in need.

Joy was an amazing person who always kept busy making this world and her community a better place; the impact that she has left in our community will not be forgotten. She was a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be forever treasured in our hearts and memories.

In establishing this scholarship, the WML Women's Club wishes to recognize an individual that exemplifies the same qualities Joy possessed. One award will be given based on applicants' dedication and contributions to the community.
